A guest cancels: what now?
If you find a replacement before the start, they take the open role: the host guide has you hand out the booklets on arrival, with fifteen minutes of reading. The six roles stay essential, the game does not work with five.
How many players?
Six, no more, no fewer, host included. Every role holds a piece of the case.
Who plays which role?
The host guide describes the six roles and suggests an outfit for each. The names are unisex: every role works for any gender. Choose by your guests’ temperament: the guide does not say who the killer is.
How long does it take?
About two hours of play, plus arrival and dinner. The host guide times every step, from the opening to the reveal.
How does the evening work?
You print the game and hand out the six booklets on arrival, then the host reads the prologue. Clue envelopes 1, 2 and 3 open at set times, everyone votes, and envelope S reveals the solution. Plan on about two hours of play.
Can you play without a game master?
Yes, that is the point: nobody has to run the game from the outside. The host reads the rules and the prologue; clues arrive in envelopes at set times and the solution waits in envelope S until the vote. The host plays like everyone else without knowing the solution: only the killer knows they did it.
What do I print?
The host guide, the six character booklets, the clue cards, the solution, the ballots and the name tags. Letter or A4, black and white is fine. Plan on ten envelopes: six with the character names, four marked 1, 2, 3 and S.
How do I get the game?
The download links appear on screen right after payment. Nothing is shipped: you print at home.
How much is a game?
$27.90 for six players, $4.65 per player. Paid once, no subscription.
Is it for kids?
No. The games are written for adults: a murder, secrets, a few glasses of champagne.
I haven’t received my files: what now?
The links appear on screen as soon as you pay and work for 30 days. To get the files of your orders by email, use Find my files with the address you entered at checkout.
How do I pay?
By card, on a form secured by Stripe, right on the game page. One payment, no subscription.
Can a game be played again?
Each game is played once per group of friends: once the killer is unmasked, the case is closed.
What about the right of withdrawal?
By paying, you request immediate delivery of the game and waive your 14-day right of withdrawal (terms of sale). If a file won’t open, write to contact@mystalibi.com and we will send it again.
