The night of June 14, a disabled sailboat off the tip of Corsica
Armand Pellegrin, a shipping owner from Bastia, has promised to “tell everything” when you reach port, about the night Théo went overboard twenty years ago. At 5:40 am, he is found dead in the bilge of his own boat, the hatch shut on top of him. The engine is flooded, the radio is dead, the tugboat arrives at 6:30. One of you six stood watch tonight, and the logbook lies.

Twenty years ago to the day, the Libeccio was racing the Cap Cup, the night race around the tip of Corsica. That night, at 3:55 am according to the logbook, in a squall, Théo Valli, 26, went overboard. They turned back, searched, called it in. His body was found three days later. The crew never sailed together again.
Tonight, Armand Pellegrin, a shipping owner from Bastia and the owner of the Libeccio, has brought the old crew back on board, along with Kris, his doctor, and Darcy Valli, who lost big brother Théo at sixteen. Around 9 pm, the storm hit: lightning fried the electronics. At 11:45 pm, the engine flooded. At 11:50, Armand reached the coast guard before the radio died: a tugboat will come out from Bastia at dawn. At midnight, in the saloon, he posted the watch schedule, one person at the helm, one hour each, and warned: “I’m bleeding the fuel filters around two. If I’m down in the bilge, nobody comes down.” Then, looking at Darcy: “In Bastia, I’ll tell everything.” Loïs shot back: “If you don’t, I will. Tonight.”
At 5:40 am, Darcy, at the helm, saw the lights of the tugboat and went below to wake Armand. His cabin was empty. At the foot of the companionway, the bilge hatch was shut, light leaking out from under it. Armand was down there, dead. The tugboat will be alongside at 6:30. Before then, you need to know who on board killed Armand Pellegrin.
Six roles, one victim. This is what each guest may know about the others before the party; the rest is in the booklets.
Breton stripes, a slicker or a foul-weather jacket, a headlamp; boat snacks and a thermos of coffee to get through the watch.
Plan on ten envelopes: six with the character names, four marked 1, 2, 3 and S. The cards are cut out with scissors.

Who knows the killer?
Every role holds a piece of the story: without one of the six, the case cannot be played. You are one of the six, the host plays like everyone else.
If you find a replacement before the start, they take the open role. The host guide has you hand out the booklets on arrival, with fifteen minutes of reading. The six roles stay essential: the game does not work with five. Better to know that before you send the invitations.
Nobody runs the game from the outside. The host hands out roles without knowing which one is the killer’s, and the host guide does not say.
Clues arrive in envelopes at set times, and the solution waits in envelope S until the vote. Everyone learns the ending at the same moment.
Plan on a 15 to 30 minute welcome, then about two hours of play: the host guide times every step. Each act opens a clue envelope, and everyone reads, alone, the next part of their booklet.
